Hosting Egypt’s Basketball Super Cup boosts solid bilateral relations

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, has stated that the kingdom’s hosting of the Egyptian Basketball Super Cup 2023, under HH’s patronage, adds a milestone to the solid Bahrain-Egypt sports relations.
The Egyptian Basketball Super Cup between champions and cup winners, Al-Ahly, and runners-up, Al-Zamalek, will be held at the Khalifa Sports City hall on October 20.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad affirmed that holding the prestigious Egyptian sports competition in Bahrain reflects Bahrain’s distinguished status as a regional and continental host of sports events.
His Highness said the kingdom’s hosting of the event is living proof of the growing sports cooperation between the two countries.
