Bahrain’s Juan Antonio Pizzi has called up 33 players for the Kingdom’s senior men’s national football team’s international friendly matches later this month.

The squad list was announced last night by the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), as the Bahrainis prepare to host Kyrgyzstan this Thursday before going up against the Philippines’ men’s national team on 17 October.

The nationals are scheduled to kick off their training tonight.

The roster features four of the Kingdom’s leading foreign-based talents, along with top names from national champions Al Khaldiya, Riffa, Muharraq, Manama, Al Ahli, Isa Town, Al Shabab, Al Najma and East Riffa.

From Al Khaldiya are Ahmed Bughammar, Mohammed Adel, Mohammed Al Hardan, Sayed Dhiya Saeed and Mahdi Humaidan.

Riffa’s standouts include Hussain Al Ekri, Hazza Ali, Mohammed Abdulqayoom, Jassim Al Shaikh, Komail Al Aswad, Ali Hassan Saeed and Abdulaziz Khaled; while Muharraq’s talents are Salem Omar, Sayed Mohammed Jaafar, Amine Hasan, Hamza Al Juban, Waleed Al Hayyam, Abdulla Al Khalasi, Mubarak Mohammed and Ahmed Al Sherooqi.

Also selected were Ebrahim Al Khattal from Manama, Ebrahim Luthfallah and Abdulla Al Hashash from Al Ahli, Hussain Abdulkareem from Isa Town, Hamad Al Doseri and Salem Hussain from Al Shabab, Mohammed Abdulwahab and Ebrahim Al Wali from Al Najma and Jassim Khelaif from East Riffa.
