HH Shaikh Isa congratulates Bahrain leadership on Asiad success

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of Cabinet Affairs and Vice-President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), offered his warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the exceptional historical accomplishments of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 19th Asian Games held recently in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.

Bahrain secured an impressive 20 medals, comprising 12 gold, three silver, and five bronze medals, securing ninth place amongst 45 participating countries and securing the top position in the Arab world—a historic milestone for Bahraini sports.

HH Shaikh Isa also extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the BOC, in recognition of Bahrain’s remarkable achievements on the Asian stage.

HH Shaikh Isa expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the King, the primary supporter of sports in the Kingdom.

He also acknowledged the continuous encouragement of sports and athletes by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, underscoring that these achievements align with the vision and endeavors of HH Shaikh Nasser in elevating Bahraini sports.

The positive impact of these efforts is evident in the athletes’ numerous prestigious accomplishments across all levels.

These achievements also exemplify the strategy of HH Shaikh Khalid in advancing the sports sector and his active involvement in fostering a spirit of enthusiasm amongst national team athletes, resulting in distinguished achievements.
