Billie Jean King Cup final match-ups set

The final round’s match-ups in the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group III were set yesterday. The prestigious competition is scheduled to come to a close today at the Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) at their hard courts in Isa Town, with the women’s national teams of Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar and Laos scheduled to play for two promotional places in Group II of next year’s tournament.
Iran will be taking on Laos, while Kyrgyzstan and Qatar face off in the other clash to decide the two qualification berths. The rest of the teams, namely Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Vietnam, Bhutan, Tajikistan, Brunei, Nepal, the Maldives, Macau and Bahrain will play for their final classification today.
The Billie Jean King Cup is a leading global tournament between national teams in women’s tennis. The competition in the Kingdom is a zonal event, with teams playing for promotion to the higher-tier group.
