Abdullah Ali crowned stage three champion in Nasser bin Hamad Amatuer Cycling Tour

The third stage of Nasser bin Hamad Amateur Cycling Tour covered a distance of 155 kilometres starting from the capital city Manama and passing through tourist and important landmarks in different governorates.
The variable winds played a prominent role in adding strong excitement to the race, with advanced performances produced by cyclists who made great efforts to demonstrate high standards in the tour.
The winners in this stage were honoured by Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Cycling Association, Abbas Musa, Gulf Air’s representative, and Mr Ahmed Al Hajj of Faalyat as well as Ahmed Al Hammadi, Head of the Organising Committee.
Abdullah Ali of the Bahrain Giants team secured first place in the third stage, followed by his teammates Mohammed Khattam and Anwar Jaffar in second and third places respectively.
In the GCC and National Team category, Adel Barbary of the Dubai Police Team claimed first place, while his teammate Ahmed Al Balushi came second, and Moroccan cyclist Said Aboluchi of the Turk Team secured third place.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Ali maintained the yellow jersey for the best time in the third stage and also received the red jersey for the highest points.
Mohammed Aqeel earned the blue jersey for the U23 years old category, while the Amateurs Team’s Mohammed Khattam won the green jersey for the over 40 years old category.
Adel Barbary claimed the yellow jersey and also received the grey jersey for the highest points.
Ahmed Al Hammadi of the UAE’s Al Watheya Team received the purple jersey for the U23 years old category, and Vladimir won the pink jersey for the over 40 years old category.
The final round of the event organised by the Bahrain Cycling Association and Faalyat and held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs will take place today.
