Luisa, Sude to face off for girls’ singles ITF title

Luisa Fusil of Slovenia set up an exciting clash in the girls’ singles final against Sude Ulueren of Turkey yesterday in the third Bahrain ITF Juniors 2023 tournament, currently being played at the Bahrain. Tennis Federation (BTF) hard courts in Isa Town. The competition is a J30 event that is part of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour Juniors, which features the world’s top tennis talents aged 13 to 18.

Luisa marched into her ti- tle-decider after upsetting top  6-2, 6-2 yesterday. Sude, mean while, was a 6-1, 7-5 winner over third seed Aleksandra Rozkalne of Latvia in their semi-final. The pair meet for the girls’ singles crown today at the BTF.

On the distaff, the boys’ singles final was also deter- mined yesterday, with third Goemon, Black Shadow lift GPIC Cups

Luisa marched into her title-decider after upsetting top seed Sosanne Malak of Egypt 6-2, 6-2 yesterday. Sude, meanwhile, was a 6-1, 7-5 winner over third seed Aleksandra Rozkalne of Latvia in their semi-final.

The pair meet for the girls’ singles crown today at the BTF. On the distaff, the boys’ singles final was also determined yesterday, with third seed Georgii Arakelian facing Doruk Calikoglu of Turkey. Georgii took down boys’ top seed Samprit Sharma of India 6-1, 6-1 to make it to the championship match.

Doruk followed suit, defeating Sacha Fontangesof France 6-3,6-2 in the last four.

The ongoing competition is the first of three straight ITF tournaments to be hosted by Bahrain in succession. The second, which begins on Mon- day, is also a J30 event, while the third, a J60 competition, will begin on 13 November.
