Muharraq claim resounding win over Al Najma

Muharraq posted a convincing 93-78 victory over Al Najma last night in their week three game of the 2023/2024 Zain Bahrain Basketball League.
Muharraq were up 67-60 at the end of the third quarter, and they extended their lead in the fourth when they went ahead by as many as 16 points late on.
Julius Coles Jr scored 29 points while Tyler Wilkerson added 28 while taking down 12 rebounds.
Skipper Bader Abdulla Malabes added 14, including three three-pointers, as Muharraq’s only other player in double figures.
For Najma, Elijah Robinson scored 26 to go with nine rebounds and eight assists. Joshua Caldwell chipped in with 16 in the defeat.
With the result, Muharraq claimed their second victory in as many outings while Najma suffered their first loss after winning their opening two contests.
League action continues tonight with defending champions Manama playing Isa Town at 5.30pm, followed t 7.30pm by Al Hala playing Samaheej.
