Um Al Hassam advance in HM the King’s Cup football

Um Al Hassam punched the final ticket last night to the round of 16 in the 2023/2024 His Majesty the King’s Cup football tournament.
Um Al Hassam booked their berth following a tight 1-0 victory over Budaiya in their first-round match-up.
Scoring the winning goal was Nasser Mohammed Saud in the 23rd minute.
With the result, the victors join the rest of the cast in the round of 16, where they will take on Al Ahli.
Other matches in that stage pit East Riffa against Manama, A’ali against Riffa, Muharraq with Galali, Al Shabab against Al Ettihad, Sitra facing Busaiteen, and Hidd taking on Al Ettifaq, while holders Al Hala will look to continue their title defence when they lock horns with defending league champions Al Khaldiya.
The HM the King’s Cup is the richest football competition in the Kingdom, with the winners taking home BD100,000 in prize money and BD50,000 going to the runners-up.
In the 2022/2023 His Majesty the King’s Cup, Hala were crowned champions after a heart-stopping 6-5 victory over Al Ahli in a hugely thrilling penalty shootout in the final.
