Audi quattro Cup qualifiers go on

Eid Adel Meftah (33 points on count back) narrowly won the fourth round of the Audi quattro Cup qualifying series at the Royal Golf Club. 

This came after all three competitors achieved the same amount of Stableford points. Hamad Mubarak clinched the runners up spot and last month’s winner, Rob Lane, took third place and continues to lead the overall series Order of Merit with 138 points, five points clear of second placed Robert Arnaud. 

The tournament was open to both members and visitors with valid handicap certificates.

The Audi quattro Cup Series is being played out over a total of nine rounds at the Royal Golf Club, with participants accumulating Stableford points over the series.

After the final round, the two players with the most Stableford points from 8 out of 9 rounds will be selected to represent Bahrain as one of the 60 teams competing in the prestigious World Over 100.000 players compete annually in more than 800 tournaments in 53 countries annually to qualify.

The Audi quattro Cup has developed into the biggest worldwide amateur golf tournament series and the next competition will take place on 19 December.
