BOC hosts Olympic champion

In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Cabinet Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Vice-President, the BOC hosted yesterday Britta Heidemann, épée fencing Olympic Champion and member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The ceremony was also attended by Shaikh Ibrahim bin Salman Al Khalifa, Bahrain Fencing Association (BFA) President, Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, BOC Secretary-General, BFA board members, BOC employees, representatives of local and foreign media outlets, in addition to Bahrain national fencing team players.
In a statement, Britta Heidemann conveyed greetings from Thomas Bach, IOC President, to those present, commending the efforts made by BOC, led by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to develop fencing in Bahrain.
