President of Bahrain Paralympic Committee receives Asian Paralympic Committee’s Asian Order award

Shaikh Mohamed Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, the President of Bahrain Paralympic Committee, received the “Asian Order” award from the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) during the APC Conference at the Asian Awards 2023 held in Riyadh from November 23 to 24.
This award is given to individuals supporting the Paralympic movement in the Asian region and promoting the participation of Para athletes.
It is a recognition of those who make outstanding efforts to raise awareness about issues faced by those with Impairments and encourage Para sports in the Asian region.
The award acknowledges his and the Bahrain Paralympic Committee’s efforts in hosting various international sporting events in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including the Bahrain 2021 Asian Youth Para Games, the 3rd West Asian Para Games - Bahrain 2022, Bahrain 1st International Para Badminton Tournament 2022, Bahrain 2022 World Boccia Cup and hosting the IPC General Assembly and Conference of the International Paralympic Committee that was held in September 2023.
These hosting endeavors have significantly contributed to the development of the Paralympic movement in Asia, showcasing the tangible achievements of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee in the sports sector.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has established itself as a global sports hub through its successful hosting of major sporting events.
Shaikh Mohamed Bin Duaij expresses his deep gratitude to the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain for their continuous support for Para sports.
He also extends his appreciation to the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and the General Sports Authority for their ongoing efforts in supporting Para sports.
