Bahraini youth vital in shaping Bahrain futur

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, has stressed the importance of the medical and nursing professions in serving society.

He praised the role of youth in supporting different communities by engaging in humanitarian activities in light of the prominent role of Bahraini youth who enjoy the support and attention of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HH Shaikh Nasser made the statements while visiting the campus of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) in Busaiteen, where he was welcomed by Professor Samir Al-Atoum, RCSI Bahrain President, Student Union Council, Brigadier- General Dr. Shaikh Fahd bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services, Colonel Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Commander of King Hamad University Hospital, and members of the university’s Executive Committee.

Addressing RCSI Bahrain students, HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed the importance of the Bahraini youth and their role in shaping the kingdom’s future through their innovations and creative ideas, urging them to do their utmost to excel in their respective fields.

Winners

HH Shaikh Nasser paid tribute to the winners of the RCSI Bahrain’s 2023 Inspiring Excellence Award, aiming to recognise the university’s graduates in the fields of leadership, innovation and community engagement, as well celebrate their achievements.

He congratulated the award recipient, Captain Dr. Fares Uddin (class of 2023), orthopedic surgeon for upper extremities and sports injuries in the Royal Guard - Bahrain Defence Force, member of the Royal Medical Team in Bahrain.

His Highness also congratulated other laureates, including Aysha Albuarki (classes of 2010 and 2021), Nurse Educator at the King Hamad University Hospital, and Dr. Talal Hilal (class of 2012), associate consultant at the Mayo Clinic in the United States, who received the award in absentia.

RCSI Bahrain President expressed utmost gratitude to HH Shaikh Nasser for visiting the university campus and addressing students, praising HH’s encouragement of Bahraini youth and far-sighted vision regarding the youth sector.
