Ecosystem wins in eighth meeting at REHC

Ecosystem triumphed in the eighth and final race yesterday at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Sakhir. In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the REHC High Committee, the eighth meeting of the 2023–2024 season took place.

Ecosystem triumphed in the last race, held over eight furlongs, with a BD3,000 prize. The five-year-old victor was competing for owner Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim and trainer Haider Ebrahim, while saddled by Ebrahim Nader. Gumais came in second for Al Mohamediya Racing, Fawzi Nass, and Jason Watson, while The Parent came in third for Al Adiyat Racing, AM Smith, and Gerald Mosse.

Elsewhere yesterday, Kuheilat Al Adiyat 1782 of the Victorious stable came first in the day’s opening race. Authority, owned by Abdulla Fawzi Nass won race two, while Blues Queen from M and E Racing Stable took the third event. Bint Al Jazeera of Al Mohamediya Racing won the fourth race, while Thahaby, owned by Laith Mahmood Masood, won race five.

Mubtadaa came first in the sixth event, owned by Lama Abbas Anan, and Aslaan from Al Mallah Syndicate Stable won the seventh and penultimate race of the day. Yesterday’s events marked the second day of back-to-back meetings at REHC.
