UAE wins Intra GCC Padel Tennis Tournament in thrilling finale

The Intra GCC Padel Tennis Tournament culminated in a thrilling climax yesterday at Let's Padel, Ritz Carlton Bahrain, after a week of intense competition.
The event, organised by the Bahrain Chapter of ICAP and its counterparts in neighbouring countries, served as a powerful testament to the unifying power of sports across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Graced by the presence of squash legend Jahangir Khan, widely recognised as the greatest of all time, the tournament attracted talented players from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the host nation, Bahrain.
Each team showcased their exceptional skills in the fast-paced sport of Padel tennis, vying for the coveted championship title. The final match delivered an edge-of-your-seat experience as the top players battled it out in a nail-biting encounter.
Ultimately, the UAE team of Saud Farooq and Amal Tabani emerged victorious, claiming the championship title. Their fellow compatriots, Isfahan Iqbal and Abdul Rafay, secured the well-deserved runners-up position.
Further solidifying the collaborative spirit of the tournament, the UAE teams of Kashif and Adeel and Ahmed Jalal and Nazar Khan from KSA secured the third and fourth positions respectively, showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship throughout the competition. "This tournament has been a fantastic display of athleticism," Jahangir Khan told the Daily Tribune. "It goes beyond celebrating athletic excellence, fostering goodwill and collaboration among our communities across the GCC." he added.
