2 Seas put both cars on podium in Gulf 12 Hours

Bahraini-British motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport put both their cars on the podium last night at the end of a gruelling Gulf 12 Hours endurance race, held at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
2 Seas’ crew of Jules Gounon, Maximilan Gotz and Fabian Schiller, driving the team’s #14 Mercedes AMG-GT3 car, finished third overall and also claimed third place in the Pro class at the chequered flag. Meanwhile, teammates His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Ian Loggie and Al Faisal Al Zubair, competing in 2 Seas’ #3 car, powered into the overall top 10 in ninth place, while also taking second in the Am category.
It was a sensational result for the team’s pair of challengers in what was their final race of the year. Gounon- Gotz - Schiller completed 347 total laps, and crossed the finish line two minutes 14.471 seconds behind winners GruppeM Racing, featuring Luca Stolz, Mikael Grenier and Maro Engel.
Team WRT, consisting of seven-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi, Dries Vanthoor and Nick Yelloly were the overall runners-up, 12.811s behind the winners. They also completed the Pro class’ top three.
HH Shaikh Isa-Loggie-Al Zubair completed the event with 343 laps in total. A total of 24 cars lined up on the grid at the beginning of yesterday’s event, with two competitors not starting. The Gulf 12 Hours was also held as the final round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge season.
