HH Shaikh Khalid meets with team

Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) president and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) chief His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the importance of the honourable representation of the Kingdom at the upcoming AFC Asian Cup.

HH Shaikh Khalid met with the senior men’s national team ahead of their departure for Dubai.

Also present were GSA deputy chairman His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Cabinet Affairs Ministry undersecretary and BOC vice-president His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Bahrain Football Association (BFA) president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, BFA vice-president His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, GSA CEO Dr Abdulrahman Askar, BOC secretary general Faris Al Kooheji, and Bahrain Athletics Association president and BFA national teams committee member Mohammed Abdullatif bin Jalal.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and HM the King’s humanitarian work and youth affairs representative His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the players.

HH Shaikh Khalid affirmed the full support of the GSA and BOC for the national team, and commitment to providing all its needs.

HH Shaikh Khalid stressed for the players to be the best ambassadors of the Kingdom during the tournament, through consolidating sports principles and values, as well as showing good sportsmanship.
