To be held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, attention will be fixed on the Bahrain International Endurance Village, which will host the Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Race Championship.

The championship will feature a series of international and local races, as well as qualification races and a race for young riders, taking place on Friday and Saturday. Today, the Bahrain International Endurance Village will witness the organisation of international qualification races covering distances of 120 km and 100 km, a local race of 100 km, local qualification races of 40 km and 80 km, and a local race for young riders covering a distance of 60 km.

Veterinary examinations were conducted for the participating horses in the races, under the supervision of the judging and veterinary committees. A number of riders, stables, and various committees were present for the veterinary examinations, especially as they were conducted for the races taking place today, which include distances of 40 km, 80 km, and 100 km, as well as the local race for young riders covering a distance of 60 km, and the two international races covering distances of 100 km and 120 km.

Race for Young Riders The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) is organising the race for young riders as an extension of the successes witnessed in previous races, supporting the younger category of riders who will be the nucleus of Bahrain’s future endurance.

The federation is following the vision set by the board of directors to qualify and refine talents and support them through the organisation of these races. It is expected that it will witness widespread participation, building on the excellent participation seen in previous races.
