Positive results for Bahraini showjumpers in Dubai

Bahraini athletes Ahmed Al Jahromi, Ahmed Akbar, Iyad Fareed, and Tareq Jabri achieved good results in the international Showjumping Championship’s two-star category, held at the Sustainable City Equestrian Club in Dubai from January 5 to 7.

Al Jahromi secured second place on the first day of the championship following a flawless performance, clocking 61.80 seconds on his horse Vivario in the against-the-clock class.

He also finished 14th place with four faults on his horse Espoir, with a time of 66.26 seconds, in the 125cm class. Meanwhile, Akbar finished seventeenth in the same category with four faults, posting a time of 77.17 seconds.

In addition, Jabri completed the accumulator class on his horse Enjoy with a score of 61 points, securing the 20th place with a time of 61.76 seconds in the 110cm class.

Meanwhile, Al Jahromi completed the two-phase class in the 130cm height category, securing the thirteenth place.

He also finished the speed class on the third day in 4th place with no faults and a time of 60.31 seconds on his horse Vivario, jumping at a height of 140cm.

Furthermore, Akbar completed the speed class in the 130cm category, finishing 14th on his horse Ola de Fronti with eight faults and a time of 68.16 seconds.

It’s worth noting that 50 participants took part in these competitions.
