Bahrain Darts Masters stage set

Only one day remains until the world’s biggest darts superstars put on a show in the 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters, taking place tomorrow and Friday at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.

The sporting spectacle will be the opening stop on this year’s World Series of Darts calendar, and it will feature 16 of the very best in the sport.

They include eight PDC professionals, headlined by recently crowned world champion Luke Humphries, teenage darts sensation Luke Littler, and defending Bahrain Darts Masters champion Michael Smith, who will be going up against eight Asian representatives.

BIC and CBX have teamed up with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), and in partnership with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, to bring the World Series of Darts back to the Kingdom following a sensational debut last year.

It will once again take place in BIC’s beautifully set-up dome tent, which will boast a fun and electric atmosphere.

Those attending will be able to show off their flair for colourful costumes and fancy dress, while enjoying the highest level of darts in a venue specially designed to replicate the famed Alexandra Palace in the UK, the home of the World Darts Championship.

Prizes Valuable prizes such as player-signed merchandise and ticket upgrades can also be won each night, as the fans with the best outfits will be selected for these rewards.

Gates at BIC are scheduled to open at 6pm tomorrow and Friday, with the darts matches being held from 7pm to 11pm.

A DJ session will then follow play from 11pm to closing at 1am.

Prior to the event, those already with tickets are invited to attend the official draw and autograph session set to take place this evening at Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Saar.

There, fans will get the chance to meet the players, get autographs and selfies, and watch as the match-ups are determined for the opening round of play tomorrow.

The draw and autograph session will take place from 6pm to 8pm and it is open only to 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters ticket-holders.

World number one Humphries, 16-year-old Littler, and world number three Smith are joined in Bahrain by three-time World Champion and current world number two Michael van Gerwen, World Matchplay winner and current world number four Nathan Aspinall, Wales’ reigning World Cup winner and world number five Gerwyn Price, 2018 World Champion and world number six Rob Cross, and two-time World Champion and current world number eight Peter Wright.

The Asian representatives are Lourence Ilagan, Paolo Nebrida and Reynaldo Rivera from the Philippines; Haruki Muramatsu and Tomoya Goto from Japan; Man Lok Leung from Hong Kong; and Bahraini stars Abdulla Saeed and Hasan Haji.
