HH Shaikh Isa visits coaches’ training programme

Cabinet Affairs undersecretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) vice-president His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended the fourth level course of the National Coaches Programme—the highest organised by the Bahrain Olympic Academy (BOA) in cooperation with the Coaching Association of Canada.
HH Shaikh Isa met with lecturer Garrett Blakey, who is the head strength coach of the Canadian men’s national basketball team and advisor to several National Basketball Association teams, in the presence of BOA director Dr Nabeel Taha.
HH Shaikh Isa and Blakey discussed all aspects of the programme, which includes coaches who have passed the first three levels.
HH Shaikh Isa stressed the BOC’s keenness to attract top-level coaches from around the world and develop technical sporting professionals while benefiting from advanced experiences, including the Canadian experience.
HH Shaikh Isa also met with other lecturers and the students and wished everyone further progress and success.
