The national horseracing season continues today at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Sakhir with an eight-race card, headlined by The Supreme Council for Women Cup. The feature event will be the third race of the day, scheduled for a 2.25pm start, and to be held over eight furlongs with a BD5,000 prize.

Ten runners are entered, featuring top stables such as Al Mohamediya Racing, Al Adiyat Racing, Victorious, Al Afoo Racing and HBR Racing, among others. The Supreme Council for Women Cup is one of six trophies to be won on the day, which marks the 18th meeting of the 2023/2024 REHC campaign.

There are two Bahrain Jewellery Centre Cups, to be won in the eighth and fifth races. Race eight will be over 11 furlongs, while race five is over a six-furlong straight, with both carrying BD3,000 prize money apiece.

Meanwhile, two Porsche Cups can be won in races seven and six. The seventh race will be run over a five-furlong distance and BD3,000 in prize money, with the sixth over a six-furlong straight with BD2,000 in winnings.

The other silverware to be won today is in race two, which offers The Saks Fifth Avenue Cup. It will be held over seven furlongs with BD2,000 in prize money. Aside from the racing, there will be plenty of attractions to be enjoyed by the whole family at REHC. All are welcome to attend.
