The DP World Tour is back in the Kingdom after 13 years, and the stars are ready to light up the stunning Royal Golf Club from February 1-4.

But this isn’t just about birdies and eagles, though we expect plenty of those. Fans get a double dose of delight - world-class golf action on the course and a taste of legendary Bahraini hospitality off it.

Immerse yourself in the tournament’s vibrant Village Square, buzzing with funfilled activities for everyone.

So, before you pack your sunscreen and cheering voice, dive into our top five picks for an unforgettable experience at the fourth stop on the DP World Tour’s International Swing!

1. Catch DP World Tour legends, rising stars and local players in action

Fifteen-time DP World Tour winner Thomas Bjorn will headline the field as he seeks a second DP World Tour win in the Middle East after victory at the 2001 Dubai Desert Classic.

The Dane will be joined by multiple DP World Tour winners Rafa Cabrera Bello, Rasmus Højgaard, Pablo Larrazábal, Marcel Siem, Jorge Campillo and Nicolas Colsaerts, while three Bahraini players will also compete at the Royal Golf Club in the form of Fahad Abdullah Sultan Saleh Mubarak, Mohammed Ahmed Rashid and Mohamed Khalifa.

2. Bring the kids for a fun day out

Away from all the action of the golf course, the Bahrain Championship boasts a plethora of activities for little ones in the Village Square. The dedicated Kids Zone will offer face painting, roaming entertainers and glitter stations, while parents can enjoy some of the delicious F&B on offer from the various food trucks.

3. Enjoy live music from local artists

Following the conclusion of play each day, fans will be treated to live music by some of the best artists in Bahrain, with Mohammed Al Arrayedh, Class6, Quadrophonix and Ali Awadhi all set to perform in the Village Square after each round.

4. Get a taste of Bahraini culture

Fans are invited to check out ‘A Taste of Bahrain’ in the Village Square, which offers guests the opportunity to experience the best of Bahraini culture, food and music along with a unique golf activation, which takes players on a nine-hole tour of some of the Kingdom’s best-known attractions.

Local coffee, sweets and food can all be sampled here, while traditional markets and music will immerse fans in the country’s rich culture.

5. Get a free golf lesson

Fans will have the opportunity to try their hand at the game thanks to the free golf lessons on offer at the ‘Golf for All’ activation. From 12pm each tournament day, the Royal Golf Club’s professional golfers are inviting guests to take part in an introductory golf lesson on the driving range, where you’ll learn the basics of the swing and some top tips from some of the country’s finest players.

General admission is free of charge but all spectators must register at the Bahrain Championship page on europeantour. com in order to gain entry. To keep up to date with tournament news, follow @bahraingolfchamps on Instagram.
