BTC crowns champions of EK Kanoo juniors tennis

Faisal Maseeh was crowned boys’ under-16 singles champion in the 11th EK Kanoo Juniors Open Championship, which came to a close at Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) in Juffair.
Faisal won the title after defeating Ahmed Al Sayed 6-2, 6-4 in the final, which was followed by the tournament’s prize-giving and closing ceremony.
In attendance were EK Kanoo vice-chairman Fuad Ebrahim Kanoo, Bahrain Tennis Federation president Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, EK Kanoo board of directors member Khaled Fuad Kanoo, marketing director Ayman Shahada, corporate affairs head Ammar Bobshit, HM the King’s youth and sports affairs advisor Saleh bin Hindi, BTC honorary president Dr Ali Fakhro, BTC member Dr Faisal Al Mosawi, and BTC board members.
BTC president Khamis Al Muqla commented: “We are very thankful for the unwavering support of EK Kanoo for the past 11 years.
This has helped a lot of local and non-local junior players to showcase and hone their skills in the sport of tennis.” Maseeh joined the list of winners from the championship.
The other champions include Abdullah Nasser in the under-8 singles, Abdullah Shaheen in the under-10 singles, Talal Al Sayed in the under-14 boys’ singles, Sophia Bader in the under-12 girls’ singles, Mariam Yasser in the under14 girls’ singles, and the pair of Abdulrahaman Al Dosseri and Talal Al Sayed in the under-14 boys’ doubles.
