HM King Hamad congratulated by HH Shaikh Khalid

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), on the success of Bahrain Championship that is part of the DP World International Golf tour hosted by the kingdom from February 1-4, and sponsored by the Royal Golf Club.
HH Shaikh Khalid expressed his pride in the patronage of HM the King for the championship, affirming the support of HM King Hamad for the sports sector.
He affirmed that Bahrain’s hosting of this tournament has strengthened its position globally since the establishment of its first golf course in 1934 and hosting the first golf tournament in 1964, which was always supported by HM the King, who is a player of the sport.
HH Shaikh Khalid commended Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman A Khalifa, President of Bahrain Golf Club and former President of the Bahrain Golf Association, for his efforts in promoting and developing the game locally.
He praised the sponsorship of the Ministry of Tourism, Bapco Energies as the primary sponsor, Mumtalakat, Tamkeen, National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), Batelco, and Emirates Airlines for promoting the international tournament.
