Bahraini Shaikha Najla bint Salman secures fourth place in King Abdulaziz Endurance Cup Race

Under the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, the Royal Endurance Team participated in the King Abdulaziz International Endurance Cup, covering a distance of 120km in Al Ula Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event was organised by the Royal Commission for Al Ula in partnership with the Saudi and International Equestrian Federations.
The 120km race witnessed the participation of 200 riders representing 50 countries from around the world.
The Royal Endurance Team’s Shaikha Najla bint Salman Al Khalifa achieved fourth place in the contest after a strong competition in the 120km race.
She displayed remarkable performances in successfully completing the race despite the rough terrain and challenging stages.
The team’s riders who participated in the race were His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Salman Isa, Sarhan Al Anzi, Isa Al Anzi, and Mohammed Abdelsamad.
In addition, Yousif Mohammed Al Sa’adoun of Al Zaeem Team completed the race, but his horse did not pass the final veterinary examination.
Great joy Shaikha Najla bint Salman expressed her happiness at achieving fourth place, affirming that the support and attention of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, has been always a motivation for all riders.
She confirmed that the follow-up and support of her father, Shaikh Salman bin Saqer Al Khalifa, had a significant positive impact on successfully completing the race and reaching fourth place.
She also mentioned that this accomplishment would be a great incentive for her to continue shining in future international competitions.
160km Race The Royal Endurance Team will participate in today’s 160km race in the King Abdulaziz Endurance Cup which will feature a wide pool of participants from around the world.
The Royal Endurance Team will be represented in the race by Othman Al Awadhi, Mohammed Al Hashimi, and Hamad Al Janahi.
