Ahli claim narrow win over East Riffa

Al Ahli posted a narrow 1-0 victory over East Riffa last night to wrap up the 12th week of play in the 2023/2024 Nasser bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League.
Abdulla Shalal had an own goal in the 40th minute to gift Ahli the win. Ahli improved to 21 points on the league standings following their sixth win in 13 games.
East Riffa suffered their fifth loss and stayed on 15 markers.
Meanwhile, Busaiteen defeated Al Hala 2-1. Hala’s Joseph Ansah opened the scoring in the 24th minute, but Dylan Ozan Bahamboula equalised just three minutes later.
Mamadou Lamine Diawara then fired in the winner for Busaiteen in the 60th minute, earning his side the full three points.
It was only the second win for Busaiteen this season as they went to 11 points, while Hala stayed in 15 with their seventh loss. In last night’s third game, Manama and Al Shabab played to a 1-1 stalemate.
Manama went to 15 points while Shabab improved to 11.
