Bahraini-British motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport have confirmed their return to the British GT grid for 2024.

The series’ reigning GT3 teams’ champions will feature two Pro-Am entries this season, with former champion Ian Loggie returning for a second season, now alongside the driver with the most British GT championship victories, Phil Keen, in 2 Seas’ first car.

The team is also welcoming back Kevin Tse, partnering with Mercedes-AMG Performance driver Maximilian Gotz.

Last season, the team’s two entries scored four race victories and four further podiums between them, going on to take a first-ever British GT championship title, with a round to spare.

The race results also kept both crews in the title hunt until the closing stages of the season, with the Am drivers eventually finishing in second and fourth.

This season sees another two extremely strong pairings, combining two of the most consistent and competitive Am drivers, alongside two of the fastest and most highly decorated drivers in the sport.

2 Seas Motorsport co-owner His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa commented: “Back for another crack at the British GT championship, and we have one clear aim for the season.

“It was a huge result last year to secure the teams’ title, so we are looking to retain that, but we know it won’t be easy.

The championship gets stronger each year, and it is great to see such a competitive grid again for 2024. “We have familiar faces back with us for the new season, albeit in new pairings, and we are really looking forward to seeing what they can do.

Experienced

“Ian had a fantastic season last year with us, and it’s great to have such an experienced and successful name in Phil back with us for the full season.

Kevin has proven himself as one of the most competitive Ams on the grid, and he will be a real threat alongside Maximilian, who we all know is hugely quick at the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG.

“It is going to be a great season, and looking forward to getting t h i n g s underway in a few weeks.”

This year will mark Loggie’s 10th season in the championship, and the 2022 champion is looking to return to the top step, building on the strong results from the last campaign.

He will be joined by one of British GT’s most prolific names in Keen, back with 2 Seas after running in selected rounds alongside Loggie during the last campaign.

The 40-year-old makes a welcome return to the British GT grid, now for a full title challenge, having scored a record 19 GT3 race wins. “It’s going to be a big push in 2024,” said Loggie.

“We showed good speed and had some great results last season, but I am more determined than ever to get back on top of the podium, and have that number one back!” Running under the team entry Contempo Concept by 2 Seas Motorsport, Tse rejoins the squad, having contested two successful standalone British GT races in 2022.

His last runout saw him claim a podium finish at Brands Hatch, and he is looking to build on the result, now sharing duties with Gotz, who makes his British GT debut.

“After a full season in GT3 silver-Am, I am extremely excited to be graduating to the Pro-Am class in British GT in 2024,” said Tse.

“2 Seas has proven itself ultra-successful over the years, and the icing on the cake for me is to be driving with Maximilian. It is all shaping up to be an amazing season!”
