Muharraq and Al Ahli square off for the title in the 2023/2024 His Majesty the King’s Cup tonight. The game is scheduled for a 6.30pm kick-off at the National Stadium in Riffa.

Muharraq are gunning for their 20th HM the King’s Cup crown.

Their last triumph came in 2020, while their first-ever title was in 1978. For Ahli, they are aiming to secure the prestigious trophy for the sixth time.

Their last tournament victory was in 2003. Muharraq punched their tickets to the final after defeating defending league champions Al Khaldiya 1-0 in a thrilling semi-final.

Firas Chawat scored the winning goal. Ahli, meanwhile, beat Manama 3-1 in their last-four contest.

Ahli are in the championship game for the second straight year. They also played in the final last season, where they lost to Al Hala in a heart-stopping penalty shootout.

The HM the King’s Cup is the richest football competition in the Kingdom, with the winners set to take home BD100,000 in prize money and BD50,000 going to the runners-up.
