Bahraini-British motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport narrowly missed out on a podium in class in the first round of the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe’s Endurance Cup, which took place yesterday at Circuit Paul Ricard in France.

2 Seas’ #60 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo car was driven by team co-owner His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Lewis Williamson of Scotland, and Martin Kodric of Croatia.

They managed to take fourth on the classification amongst participants in the series’ Gold Cup, while also claiming 34th overall at the end of the threehour race.

2 Seas finished 46.185 seconds from overall winners Rowe Racing in a BMW M4 GT3 car.

They were competing in the Pro Cup. Taking first place in the Gold Cup were Sainteloc Racing in an Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, while finishing 13th overall.

Completing the podium in class ahead of 2 Seas were AlManar Racing by GetSpeed, also racing in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, and CSA Racing in an Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II.

2 Seas are racing in this year’s GT World Challenge Europe’s Endurance Cup while also defending their GT3 Teams’ title in the British GT Championship— making for a highly competitive pair of series for their 2024 campaign.

2 Seas will be aiming to bounce back when the GT World Challenge Europe’s Endurance Cup returns to action in Spa, Belgium, for a 24-hour race over the weekend of June 26 to 30.

Prior to that, a prologue is scheduled on May 21 and 22, also in Spa.

Round three will then take place at the Nurburgring in Germany from July 26 to 28, and then the fourth and penultimate meeting will be held from September 20 to 22 in Monza, Italy.

The curtain-closer is then scheduled for November 21 to 23 in Jeddah.
