Founded in 2016 by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BRAVE Combat Federation has been making waves internationally having hosted events in 30 countries across 5 continents while promoting Bahrain's sporting prowess on an unprecedented scale.
This remarkable feat of hosting events in 30 countries underscores BRAVE CF's position as a global leader in MMA, unmatched by any other organization in the world.
And now, BRAVE CF has emerged as the top sports brand in Europe by selling out its third straight event in Slovenia.
BRAVE CF returned to the European nation for the third time on Saturday, April 20 with BRAVE CF 81 in association with WFC. The event which happened at the Hala Tivoli Arena in Ljubljana, drew a packed crowd that was treated to a thrilling night of MMA action.
“We are always excited to host BRAVE CF in Slovenia and we know it will be a big day for all combat sports fans in the country. This time we also had a lot of fans from Europe as well, especially from Ireland and it was a very successful show,” Slovenia MMA President Zlatko Mahic said about the event.
Reflecting on the organization's achievements, BRAVE CF's President Mohammed Shahid emphasized the vision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid in propelling MMA into the global spotlight
“The vision of His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa for MMA globally has seen BRAVE CF become a big part of the development of MMA worldwide. This event shows the power of a Bahrain-born sports brand from the Middle East becoming part of the sports economy in Europe. It is a proud moment and 2024 is going to be a big year,” Shahid said.
Beyond the numbers, BRAVE CF has been successful in introducing the sport to regions previously untouched by other international MMA organizations. In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region alone, BRAVE CF has hosted 32 events, while also spearheading MMA initiatives in Europe, Africa, and India.
The crown jewel of Bahrain has so far announced nine events for the year 2024 with the organization scheduled for a return to Slovenia in October.
This year, BRAVE Combat Federation will also be hosting events in Mauritius, Croatia, and the Netherlands for the first time in the organization’s history. This will take the number of BRAVE CF host nations to 33; breaking BRAVE CF’s own world record of 30 host nations.
