Drew Barrymore to Practice More "Physical Distance" on Her Talk Show

Drew Barrymore has pledged to maintain more physical distance with her talk show guests moving forward. The 49-year-old actress admitted that she became quite affectionate with her celebrity guests during episodes of The Drew Barrymore Show following the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the show launched during the peak of social distancing in 2020, Drew often filmed alone in the studio.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she confessed, "I will try to practice physical distance, which is not my strong point. Do you know how hard the pandemic was for me? I was alone in a studio by myself. I love being around people."
Although Barrymore’s warm, hands-on approach may not resonate with all viewers, the Never Been Kissed star emphasized that her main goal is to spread joy. "It’s not everyone’s favorite, but I’m sorry to those people ... I think we’re always going to be big on joy and laughter and feeling good," she added.
