U.S. rapper and music mogul Jay-Z has strongly denied allegations of rape made against him in a newly amended lawsuit, calling them “idiotic” and “heinous in nature.” The accusations stem from an alleged incident in the early 2000s, where a woman claims Jay-Z participated in a sexual assault at an awards show after-party. The lawsuit also accuses Sean 'Diddy' Combs of raping the woman when she was 13 years old.
In a statement issued by Roc Nation, Jay-Z, a 24-time Grammy Award winner, termed the claims as part of an extortion attempt. His legal team emphasized their commitment to challenging the lawsuit vigorously in court.
Despite the controversy, Jay-Z was seen out with his wife, Beyoncé, and their 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Monday night. Blue Ivy posed confidently for solo shots on the red carpet, while the family appeared united and all smiles in front of the cameras.
This public appearance comes amid intense scrutiny, with fans and the music industry closely watching the developments surrounding the allegations.
