Nita Ambani Steals the Spotlight at Private Reception Ahead of US Presidential Inauguration

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of US President-Elect Donald Trump, Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, graced a Private Reception on Saturday, January 18. Draped in a breathtaking traditional Kanchipuram silk saree, she captured the essence of India on the global stage.

Designed by Swadesh, the saree was an exquisite blend of history and spirituality, with over 100 traditional motifs inspired by the grand temples of Kanchipuram. The intricate designs, woven by National Award-winning master artisan B. Krishnamoorthy, included symbols such as the Iruthalaipakshi (double-headed eagle, representing Lord Vishnu), Mayil (symbolizing immortality and divinity), and Sorgavasal animal trails (reflecting India’s rich folklore).

Nita Ambani further enhanced the regal ensemble with 18th-century heritage Indian jewelry, and paired the saree with a contemporary velvet blouse by Manish Malhotra. The blouse featured a built-up neckline and delicate beadwork along the sleeve hem, marrying traditional charm with modern sophistication.

With this ensemble, Nita Ambani brought a piece of India’s rich cultural heritage to an international platform, embodying grace and timeless elegance.
