Doha objects to Sunny Leone concert
A Bollywood event in Doha featuring former adult star Sunny Leone has been called off after authorities reportedly raised an objection.
The ‘Mega Bollywood Night’ was scheduled for March 11, which was also to feature comedian Sunil Pal, along with pop star Himal and Nirmal Tarang.
However, the headline act of the event was actress, Leone.
In a Facebook post, organisers Arunvalley Entertainement confirmed the event was called off, posting: “We regret to inform you that this event is cancelled due to sum unfortunate reasons by the authorities.
“We promise you to come back with an extravaganza, which will take you to the next level of entertainment. Stay tuned.”
The organisers have also cited everyone who purchased the tickets will get full refunds.
The incident is not the first time a Leone concert event has been cancelled last minute.
The actress has been in the news lately with her new anti-smoking ad garnering four million views on YouTube within a week of release.
Leone stars in the short film, titled ’11 minutes’, where she features with actors Alok Nath and comedian Deepak Dobriyal.
