VIVA launches home security gizmos

Manama: VIVA Bahrain is addressing home security by introducing cameras programmed to send intelligent alerts directly to smartphones.

The Canary all-in-one home security system is armed with multiple sensors and a high-quality camera that enables customers to live stream and record events when motion is detected. It also monitors air quality, humidity levels and temperature in the house.

Complementing the cameras, VIVA is also introducing Bluetooth-enabled locks; the Schlage Sense smart deadbolt offers access to the house with an access code on its illuminated touchscreen or via mobile device.

Moreover, the Ecobee 3 Smart Wi-Fi thermostat offered by VIVA allows customers to save an average of 23 per cent of their yearly energy costs, while enjoying improved heating and cooling performance at their homes. In addition, the intelligent wireless lighting system by Phillips Hue allows easy control of colour and brightness of the lights. Choosing from 16 million colours and synching light to music and movies, VIVA customers can discover endless possibilities with their lights.

All devices come with free mobile apps. Ecobee 3, Philips Hue, and Schlage Sense are Apple HomeKit enabled and can be controlled through Siri.
