ManamaThe all-new Macan GTS inspired by motor-racing has arrived at Porsche Centre Bahrain, Behbehani Brothers w.l.l. Bearing the GTS insignia, the latest addition to the Macan range features a re-engineered chassis, reinforced brakes, along with a 20hp increase from the Macan S. Like all other GTS models, it combines sporty design with superior driving dynamics. 

Commenting on the new arrival, Colin Sattar, Brand Manager, Porsche Centre Bahrain, said: “The all-new Macan GTS represents the unmistakable DNA of legendary Porsche sports cars of the past and is immediately recognisable at first glance. Evolved into a formidable compact SUV with sharpened style, the Macan GTS combines a high level of driving dynamics with outstanding everyday utility. Sure to deliver an exciting driving experience, the car’s sporty precision offers raw power within an attractive model and includes a range of options as standard.”

Under the hood an output of 360hp and 500Nm of torque, places the Macan GTS in-between the Macan S and the Macan Turbo. The technical basis for this comprises of a three-litre V6 twin-turbo engine from the Macan S, accompanied by the 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) with flexible power distribution between front and rear axles. Completing the zero to 100 km/h sprint in 5.0 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package, the Macan GTS has a top speed of 256 km/h.

New sporty features include, a sportier tuning of the PASM chassis lowered by 15 millimetres, along with 20-inch RS Spyder design wheels with matt black paint finish and mixed tyres (front: 265/45 and rear: 295/40). In keeping with iconic Porsche styling are the standard GTS sport seats with Alcantara centre panels, a distinctive sounding sports exhaust system and the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) which celebrates its SUV debut in the Macan GTS.

Porsche’s latest four-door sports car can be recognised at first glance. A range of exterior accents finished in black, including high gloss in the upper and matt finish in the lower areas of the car, as well as GTS-specific colouring as standard. For the first time, the Macan GTS is also available with the option of LED headlights including 
Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus which guarantees optimum illumination of the road under all conditions.

Deliveries of the Macan GTS will commence this month and the basic retail price in Bahrain is BHD30,300.
