Living the glam dream

Manama : Growing up, Marwa Al Harmazi always looked up to her elder sister who was a model and makeup artist. Her sister would also always have her back as she constantly supported and encouraged Marwa to learn the secrets behind makeup and modelling.

During school days, Marwa participated in a challenge of the GCC Gymnastics School Tournament that involved schools from all around the gulf, and won the third prize.

From then on, she kept developing her talents and is now a full-time model, taking part in advertisement projects.

Up ahead

Besides modelling and makeup, she has also taken up some acting roles. 

“I like to be selective in my acting career. I want to take up roles that fit me well. I will be playing a very big role soon. I am currently involved with a big local series, where I will be lead. The show begins after Ramadan this year,” she said. 

Talking about her talents, she told DT News a bit about what inspires her. “It was only recently that I started focusing on makeup, as I’ve learnt many girls are inspired by my looks and are eager to learn how I do my makeup. This is what pushes me be better at what I do,” she explained.

She added, “I consider my modelling talent to stem from my looks and ability to be consistent in photos. I love to share with others what I have got and what I do with my looks.”

Speaking about her inspiration, she said, “My inspiration comes from my fans and family. When I see them so proud of me, it keeps me posting my photos all over the social media.”
