Dolly Parton to renew vows with husband
Los Angeles: Dolly Parton and her husband, Carl Dean, have been married since 1966. And after five decades of wedded bliss, they're ready to do it all over again. People report that Parton and Dean are going to give themselves the big wedding they never had to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
"We're going to get married again!" she told People. "I'll have a beautiful wedding dress, 'cause I didn't have a big, long wedding dress when we got married and we've got a suit for him, so we're going to dress up and take a bunch of pictures."
Their wedding only had Parton's mother as a witness, and their married life has been similarly low-key. Dean is an intensely private person, and stays out of the limelight while remaining supportive of his megastar wife. Parton said she was "shocked" that Dean agreed to a splashy vow renewal.
And because nobody has a heart like Dolly Parton, the expression of love will all go to a good cause. She's going to sell the wedding photos and give the proceeds to her charity, Imagination Library.
