Now, this is not about people who made these social media platforms, but the ones who decided to make a career out of it. It is definitely not an easy task to upload a vlog or photos on a daily basis, but these individuals seem to have done pretty well for themselves.

The Canadian singer-song writer gathered a crazy fan base when he first uploaded his video on video sharing app Vine. Later recognised by Andrew Gertler and Island Records, he went on to release an EP, with one single – Stitches, ranking top 10 on the billboard.
2.Super woman
An Indian-Canadian based in Toronto, Canada, Superwoman took over the internet with her hilarious vlogs about situations that are quite relatable to all the youngsters. Sometimes portraying her Indian parents, iiSuperwomanii (aka Lily Singh) is a stand up comedian.
Since starting her YouTube channel in 2010, she has garnered over 8.5 million subscribers. Superwoman has been on multiple talk shows, won a Teen’s Choice Award and been on a world tour. Oh, she has also been listed as one of the highest paid YouTubers.
3. Marques Brownlee
Marques Brownlee is a producer, reviewer, technology enthusiast and an internet personality. He started his famous technology based YouTube channel n 2008 and since then, has garnered over 3.5 million subscribers. His is the 3rd most subscribed technology channel on YouTube.
4. Brandon Stanton
Famously known as the founder of ‘Humans of New York,’ Brandon Stanton is an American photographer and blogger. With his photo journalistic perspective, Brandon has taken hundreds of portraits of ordinary people on the streets of New York, along with snippets of small stories about their lives.
Since then, he has had over 17.2 million likes on his official ‘Humans of New York’ Facebook page, and around 4.5 million followers on Instagram. His work has been critically acclaimed, and the photographer has travelled around the world taking portraits of people and sharing their stories with millions of people online.

Not sure how many of you are shocked, but Justin Bieber did start off his career uploading videos of himself singing covers on YouTube, with the help of his mother. Getting recognised by a talent manager in 2007, he signed to RBMG, released his debut album ‘My World’ in late 2009. The rest is known to everyone.

Just vlogging about his daily life and not knowing what was in store for him in the future, Tyler Oakley has become a YouTube sensation since he uploaded his first video. Not just a YouTuber, Tyler is also a humorist, author and activist. His activism has been dedicated to LGBT rights and LGBT youth. He has been on several talk shows and has a huge fan base of 6.3 million followers on Instagram.
8.Pentatonix
Started as the ‘Trio’ on YouTube, Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kristin went off to audition for the Sing off an A capella singing competition, where they were joined by Avi and Kevin. Being incredibly amazing, they won the competition. However, not everything went well after that, which made them return to YouTube.
With their covers being shared and liked over a million times, they soon grabbed a contract and have since released 4 albums and 2 Christmas albums. And if that wasn’t enough, they’re two-time Grammy winners for Instrumental Arrangements.

The two dudes have done justice to all the movies they have reviewed, creatively and hilariously explaining them. Their videos have gathered over 3 million views and they have over 3.5 million subscribers.

We saved the best for the last. If you haven’t seen or read any of his tweets, you seriously need to check social media a bit more. Tweeting unusually funny jokes and facts, Pakulo Papito has taken the internet memes to a whole new level. He has around 10.2k followers on twitter.
