H-D 2018 Models Hit the Road in Bahrain
Harley Davidson Bahrain has marked the 115th anniversary of its parent company by unveiling Harley bikes 2018 models, featuring unprecedented revolutionary changes to the designs and the performances compared to the predecessors.
The new collection includes eight Softail models, all of which combine the powerful performance of Dyna models and the unique beauty of the Softail bikes.
The new Softails have an all-new lighter, stiffer frame, new suspension, and most importantly, the new 45-degree, four-valve-per-cylinder Milwaukee-Eight V-Twin engine now with dual counter-balancers. All of the new bikes come standard with a 107 c.i. engine, while a few are available with a bigger 114 c.i. option. Thanks to the new frame, the new bikes are about 35 pounds lighter than their predecessors.
The eight new Softail models have been put in three different categories by the design team; Functional Standards, Modern Classics, and Revolutionary Design DNA. Although the Dyna line has been discontinued (at least for now), a few Dyna models have been reborn as Softails.
Commenting on the new models, Dave Foley, vice president of Product Planning and Portfolio Management, Harley-Davidson Motor Company said, “Our new Touring motorcycles will be some of our most sought-after bikes in 2018. For CVO, we’ve rebooted the styling tone of the overall lineup and added some exclusive performance enhancements.”
Meanwhile, Brad Richards, Vice President of Styling and Design, Harley-Davidson Motor Company further added: “Dave’s right. The new direction our Styling department took with the design formula on the bikes is truly seismic.”
