Want to kill some time? Read a short story!
What would you do if you were free for some time? Instead of gazing at your smartphone, as you would normally do, what if you want to do something productive?
Introducing, the short story dispenser!
The mayor of a French city of Grenoble has collaborated with a publishing company Short Edition, through an experimental project, that aims to help them use the free time in a better way, konbini.com reported.
The idea is to make people read short stories to kill time. The short story dispenser delivers good quality literature for them to read in public places, during their spare time, similar to the way chocolates and chips are dispensed. And it is for free!
According to the article in the website, stories can be read in however much time one has got to kill. For instance, the ‘three minute’ format takes the form of a piece of paper that’s 8 x 60 centimeters in size, for five minutes, it is probably doubled.
According to news website ibnlive.com, eight of these screenless, orange and black distributors are installed in various parts of the city, which is famous in the country for its crime rate.
