Time to get a glimpse of the Jewels of Arabia
Jewellery Arabia 2015, the Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch exhibition, will be officially inaugurated under the patronage of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre tomorrow. The 24th exhibition in this prestigious annual series runs until November 28.
Jewellery Arabia 2015 is the largest exhibition to date, with over 600 exhibitors from 30 countries showcasing precious wares across an area of 21,000 square metres at the venue. On sale will be a dazzling range of finished jewellery, luxury timepieces, precious stones, antiques, objects d’art, jewellery packaging and technology from around the globe.
The five-day show will feature high-end international brands, independent designers, retailers and manufacturers from across the globe and national groups from leading jewellery export countries. They include delegations from Hong Kong, India, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States of America.
“Jewellery Arabia has evolved into the single most important jewellery and watch exhibition in the Middle East,” said Arabian Exhibition Management Sales and Marketing Director Fawzi Al Shehabi, “ its reputation, size, quality of exhibits and sheer variety is unique in the region.”

SHOW HIGHLIGHTS:
Jewellery Education Seminars
To assist visitors in making informed buying choices, the world’s foremost authority on gemology, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and independent international laboratory Solitaire Gem Labs (SGL) will conduct daily seminars at Jewellery Arabia 2015. Free to attend and open to all, experienced instructors will provide visitors with information on different facets of gems and jewellery. Topics include diamonds, coloured stones, pearls and tips when purchasing jewellery.
The 11th Middle East Jewellery of the Year Awards
For the 11th successive year, the Middle East Jewellery of the Year Awards will take place today at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay. Hosted by Arabian Watches & Jewellery Magazine and held under the patronage of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, the awards serve to recognise and reward the best jewellery and fine writing instrument brand performers across 15 different categories. More than 300 guests are expected to attend the ceremony including international jewellery manufacturers, regional retailers and VIPs.
The World’s Most Valuable Guitar
The world’s most valuable guitar will be showcased at Jewellery Arabia 2015 as part of a global tour. The CORONET Gibson guitar has an estimated value of $2 million and will be unveiled tomorrow at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The fully functional musical instrument is adorned with 11,441 diamonds (401.15 carats) set in 1.6 kg of 18k white gold. Brought together by legendary guitar maker Gibson Brands, Hong Kong-based founder of the CORONET brand Aaron Shum Jewellery, and musician-artist Mark Lui, the diamond encrusted masterpiece named “Eden of CORONET” is the most valuable guitar ever as certified by Guinness World Records as of March 2015.
Thailand Fashion Show & Pavilion Opening
The Thailand pavilion will be officially inaugurated tomorrow with an extravaganza of entertainment from Thailand, attended by high-ranking executives from Thailand and Bahrain. Free for visitors to attend, the occasion includes authentic Thai cultural performances, regional dances, classical art performances and a series of stunning jewellery fashion shows including appearances by Miss Thailand. A business matching night to promote and strengthen relations between the Thai and Bahraini gem and jewellery industry will also take place during the exhibition.
Interactive Swiss Watch Exhibition
Made for watch enthusiasts, a travelling exhibition dedicated to Swiss watches entitled ‘Think Time Think Swiss Excellence’ will be on display at Jewellery Arabia 2015 from 24 to 28 November 2015. Featuring a unique and interactive table allowing visitors to build their own watch movement and audio information panels, ‘Think Time’ is a fascinating introduction to Swiss watchmaking. Visitors can discover the different facets of a Swiss watch, its centuries-old heritage, its tools and skills. ‘Think Time’ is presented by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH. The FH is the leading association of the Swiss watchmaking industry and currently represents more than 90 per cent of Swiss firms active in the production and sale of watches, clocks and components.
Opening Hours & Entry
Jewellery Arabia 2015 is open free of charge to the public. The exhibition will open from 4pm to 10pm from November 24 to 27 and from 12pm to 10pm on November 28.
