Religious tolerance of Bahrain hailed
Manama : The unique efforts ensuring free practice of all religions have entitled the Kingdom to be a role model for other countries, said Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain, Suha Ibrahim Rifaat.
Followers of the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church held a Christmas Mass yesterday under the chairmanship of Father Misak, with the participation of priest Royce, and in the presence of the Ambassadors, MPs, Shura Council members, Capital Governorate representatives, Egyptian Embassy’s staff and guests.
The ambassador in her speech congratulated Egypt’s Copts on Christmas and conveyed to them the congratulations of President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi.
She extended, on behalf of the Egyptian expatriate community in Bahrain, profound gratitude to the Bahraini leadership, for their efforts in ensuring the free practice of religion.
“The Kingdom’s leadership has proved its wise dealing with the issue of public liberties, particularly regarding the exercise of religious rituals,” she said.
