Indian School Bahrain starts Scouts and Guides

Manama: Indian School Bahrain (ISB) will be introducing Scouts and Guides for students from this academic year, a circular from the ISB stated. The students of class 4,5& 6 can enroll for Scouts and Guides programme. The Scouts and Guides provide numerous structured activities to bring out the inherent talents in children and will help them to perform to their full potential. It mainly aims at the overall development of children and helps to balance their physical, intellectual, social and emotional domains.

The students of class 2 and 3 can enroll for the Cubs and Bulbul, an infantry wing of the Scouts and Guides for the students below 10 years of age. Students who excel in these activities get an opportunity to compete for national awards like the Rajyapuraskar and the Rashtrapathi award. The Scouts and Guides certificates and the camping and scouting experiences will add to the academic profile of the students. The students who wish to enroll for the Cubs and Bulbul and Scouts are requested to fill the registration proforma and submit it to the class teacher along with the individual registration form and annual fee of BD 6 on or before April 25.  The Cubs and Bulbul activities will be conducted on 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month.
