Al Noor International School celebrates crop harvest

Horticulture club students of Al Noor International School celebrated crop harvest early this week.  13 students of the Advanced Level Biology class as a part of their project titled “Organic Farming” have grown plants like broccoli, tomato and chilly. In a second project using hydroponic system they grew lettuce and cucumber plants.  Both the projects were set up in the green house tent located in the school campus. This is the third consecutive year the A’ Level Biology students have undertaken these horticulture projects.

The group captain of the horticulture project Maged Magdi Mohammed Morsi said that it was a delightful experience to observe how food and environment are related and learn about ecology in a real world context.

He added that the knowledge they got by transforming   textual information into most exciting and informative experience value higher than any certificate.

The School Director Dr. Muhammad Mashood and School Acting Principal  Amin Mohammed Ahmed Hulaiwah attended the event.  Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Muhammad Mashood congratulated the students on their initiative to understand the agricultural practices at a very young age.

The harvested crops were handed over to the Director of the school.
