Strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood

BY AMBASSADOR OF PAKISTAN TO BAHRAIN H.E SAQIB RAUF

On this auspicious occasion of the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt felicitations to the people of Pakistan living in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This day is a powerful reminder of the long and arduous struggle undertaken by the Muslims of the subcontinent to secure a homeland of their own. This historic struggle is filled with countless stories of oppression and injustice, as well as remarkable examples of sacrifice, commitment, resolve, and resilience.

It serves as a poignant reminder of the unwavering determination displayed by our forefathers in their pursuit of a sovereign nation where we can live with honor, dignity, and freedom. When we reflect on our journey as a nation, it is clear that the path of nation-building has never been an easy one.

Despite the numerous challenges and difficulties that we have faced over the decades, the Pakistani nation has consistently demonstrated its resilience, emerging from each crisis stronger and more unified.

This day calls upon us to renew our commitment to the fundamental principles laid down by the founder of our nation, Quaid-eAzam Muhammad Ali Jinnah—namely, unity, faith, and discipline.

These guiding principles continue to provide us with the direction we need as we strive to build a progressive, prosperous, and developing Pakistan.

Our leadership is making every effort to steer the country on a path of development. They are fully cognizant of the critical role played by the Pakistani diaspora living abroad in the development of nation.

The contributions of our overseas community are invaluable, and they have consistently proven to be a source of strength for our nation. Bahrain is one of the countries where Pakistanis have lived and thrived since before the independence of our homeland. After independence, many Pakistanis have made Bahrain their home.

Our diaspora continues to serve as a strong and enduring bridge between the two nations. The people of Bahrain have proven to be exceptional hosts.

Bahrain has consistently demonstrated generosity and kindness towards Pakistanis living in this country. For all love and hospitality, we are profoundly grateful to His Majesty, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Prime Minister and the Crown Prince of Bahrain and the people of Bahrain.

On this day, let us once again pledge to do our utmost to strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Bahrain. Together, let us work towards a future where the ties between our two nations grow even stronger, ensuring that the legacy of cooperation and mutual respect continues for generations to come.
