Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has revealed that she thrives on being challenged and feels happiest when she’s busy. The 49-year-old actress, who has been working since the age of 14 to support her late mother Marcheline Bertrand, shared insights about her relentless drive in an interview with Vogue Mexico.

“I think a creative person always wants to be growing, and I always want to be challenged,” Jolie explained. “I put myself in situations where I’m not the smartest person in the room. Being uncomfortable and working hard fosters creativity and growth. That’s where I’m happy.”

Jolie acknowledged her struggle to relax, admitting, “I can’t always take a vacation. I’ve been working since I was 14 to help my mother pay the bills. I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t working or doing something.”

Beyond her Hollywood career, Jolie is a devoted mother to her six children—Maddox (23), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16)—whom she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt. She recently emphasized that motherhood is her ultimate priority and source of fulfillment.

In an appearance on Good Morning America, Jolie spoke about her role as opera legend Maria Callas in the upcoming film Maria and reflected on her own life’s passion. “My motherhood is my happiness,” she stated. “You can take everything else away from me … nothing else matters.”
