Margot Robbie, who played Nellie LaRoy in the 2022 comedy-drama Babylon, remains puzzled over the film's lackluster performance at the box office. The 34-year-old actress expressed her thoughts during an appearance on the Talking Pictures podcast, where she admitted, “I still can’t figure out why people hated it. I love it.”

Margot hopes that the film, which also stars Brad Pitt, will one day achieve cult-classic status. Drawing comparisons to The Shawshank Redemption, a movie initially deemed a failure before gaining acclaim, she speculated: “I wonder if in 20 years, people will say, ‘Wait, Babylon didn’t do well at the time?’”

A New Chapter: Motherhood

Amid her reflections on Babylon, Margot is embracing a new role—motherhood. The actress and her husband, Tom Ackerley, recently welcomed their first child, a baby boy. While details about their son remain private, the couple is cherishing this new phase of their lives.

According to a source close to the couple, Margot is currently enjoying family time in Los Angeles, with support from Tom’s mother, who has been visiting from England.

Margot plans to return to work in 2025 but is prioritizing quality time with her family for now. “She wants to rest and spend time with the baby,” the insider shared, adding, “She’s enjoying motherhood.”

Margot’s fans eagerly await her return to the screen, while the actress continues to relish her personal and professional milestones.
