NMS Bahrain organises sports day

The New Millennium School, Bahrain, hosted its much-awaited Annual Sports Day for the students of Grades VII to XII on 14th December,2024, with resounding success. The event showcased the school’s commitment to nurturing the spirit of sportsmanship and promoting physical well-being among students.
Principal, Dr Arun Kuumar Sharma, inaugurated the sports meet with an inspiring speech that emphasized the importance of sports in fostering physical and mental fitness.
The students competed in a variety of events, including track races such as 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and relays, as well as field events like shot put, triple jump and long jump.
Medals and Certificates were awarded at the conclusion of each event, creating an air of excitement and encouragement. The highlight of the celebration was the announcement of the Best House March Past Award and Individual Championship Awards for the best-performing boy and girl of the academic session 2024-25 which brought the crowd to a roaring applause. Lincoln House bagged the prestigious House March Past Trophy. For Grade 7 and 8, Naithik Chandak and Disha Mangalpadi bagged the Individual Championship boy and girl awards respectively.
For Grades 9 to 12, Shiva Sundar and Izzah Shahib clinched the Individual Champion title boy and girl respectively. The Parents and teachers also participated in 100 & 200 metres races.
Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai and the Managing Director, Geetha Pillai lauded the school’s efforts in promoting sports as an integral part of education. They also underscored the importance of sportsmanship in today’s competitive world.
