Toyota unveils C-HR+ electric SUV for Europe

Toyota has introduced the C-HR+, its third all-electric model, positioning it as the core of its EV lineup. Originally expected to carry the bZ3X nameplate, the C-HR+ is based on the bZ Compact SUV concept revealed in 2022.
The ‘+’ suffix signifies added versatility and practicality compared to its hybrid counterpart, along with the unique benefits of a battery-electric powertrain.
Design & Dimensions
The C-HR+ closely follows the concept’s design, featuring a long bonnet, a steeply raked roofline, and Toyota’s ‘hammerhead’ front design with slim headlights and arrow-style LED DRLs. The rear sports a full-width light bar and a roof spoiler.
It measures 4,520 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width, and 1,595 mm in height, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase providing more interior space than a typical compact SUV (C-SUV). Boot capacity stands at 416 litres, while a 900 mm front-rear couple distance ensures generous legroom.
Tech & Features
Inside, the C-HR+ boasts a 14- inch infotainment screen, two wireless smartphone chargers, rear USB ports, rear AC controls, and a panoramic sunroof.
Its EV-specific navigation system calculates routes based on charging station availability, battery status, and range. The myToyota app allows users to monitor charging status, estimated charging time, driving range, and usage data remotely. Safety & Assistance.

• 57.7 kWh battery – up to 455 km (WLTP range)
• 77.0 kWh battery – up to 600 km (WLTP range) Charging options include:
• 11 kW onboard charger (standard)
• 22 kW charger (Highgrade variant)
• 150 kW DC fast charging capability
The front-wheel-drive (FWD) variant offers power outputs starting at 165 bhp, while the all-wheel-drive (AWD) version, available only with the 77.0 kWh battery, produces up to 338 bhp, achieving 0–100 kph in 5.2 seconds.
Driving Dynamics
Built on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, the C-HR+ features a specially tuned suspension for sharp handling and agility. The electric power steering has also been optimized for better responsiveness.
Launch & Availability
The C-HR+ will launch in select European markets in late 2025, followed by a wider European rollout in 2026. It will join the Urban Cruiser and bZ4X in Toyota’s growing EV lineup.
